Reading with Friends at SABIS® SUN
On December 1, 2015, upper grade prefects at SABIS® SUN International School organized a campaign to inspire reading in students in the lower grades. The prefects divided the younger students into smaller groups and read stories of the appropriate reading level to them. The prefects also took the time to show the pictures in the books, explained the meaning of some word that were difficult to the younger kids, and even asked the kids questions about the story. Prefects enjoyed spending time with lower school students and were impressed by their active participation, and that they were all listening carefully and attentively as they were read to.
