First Day of School
After many days of preparation, the school was finally ready to welcome students. The SLO® prefects worked hard to decorate boards and draw colorful posters in an attempt to draw smiles on students’ faces. Senior students were standing at the gate greeting both parents and children who entered the school. The feeling of excitement was reflected on everyone's faces and it seemed like the school was alive again after the long break. Laughter was coming from every corner of the school. Reunited friends were hugging each other and teachers were welcoming their new students. The friendly atmosphere at school was evident and everyone felt at home. SLO® prefects escorted everyone to the lineup and while doing so, made a lot of new friends. During the lineup, Mr. Jacobus, Director of SABIS® SUN, made a short, yet encouraging and motivational speech about the importance of education. After students headed to their classes, they received their new books and met new classmates and teachers. Everyone seemed to adapt to the school life very quickly. During the breaks, new students got the chance to explore the school with the help of senior students. By the end of the day, unforgettable memories were made by everyone and the children left school feeling satisfied and happy because they knew that they would be coming back the next day.
